I have no words for people in this forum, suggesting the person to just be quite and not report about that nanny who has harmed a child who is just 8 months old...it is very sad, sickening, and shocking that a majority of you guys are giving such bad suggestion.
Your first instinct as a parent is to protect your child.
If the child is harmed and you have the proof, man!!!! I would not be discussing that on this forum, but would go straight to the police station and give the complaint and protect my child and scores of other child who might be next if that nanny is not booked by the authorities.
She has advertised in a web site. It not going to be a big crime if you unknowingly hire someone who happens to be not authorized to work. At most its a misdemeanor with a fine.

If First/Last name in all immigration related applications/docs match with entries in corrected passport, I don't think you need anything else. Green Card, when received, should have entries as in passport.

My heartiest congratulations to IV and Core. Over the last 2 weeks I found that IV was the most reliable and quickest in giving us information.
I have a question for IV , is there a possibility of increasing annual GC quota or atleast reusing unused Visas from previous years.

Please tell me as you successfully did your name correct in passport, but what's about your VISA name? please clarify me, just passport name change is enough or we have to do anything else for VISA name too? Or VISA name will not applicable afterwards?

This is not a legal advice to anybody, just explaining who I did!! Risk is yours!!.
On my passport "Surname" was empty. Complete name was under "Given Name". Assuming on passport:
Given Name: �Harjinder Singh"
Surname: ......empty....
Just went to Embassy of India - Washington DC. Filled a "Miscellaneous form" and under purpose pick OTHERS and write �Name Split". Then write on form what you want.
I requested " Split my name as Given Name = Harjinder; Surname = Singh".
Attach a photo on form, pay 20$ fee and collect a corrected passport next day.
As long as you are not changing the name this should be fine otherwise what will be in advertisement " My name is Harjinder Singh and I want to declare my new name is Harjinder Singh???" unless changing a name it seem simple 2 day task via Miscellaneous form.
Rest EAD / 485 I don't know because I am not at that stage yet.

See new 8 CFR 214.2(h)(2)(i)(G). This preclusion applies even if the petitions are not duplicative.
USCIS recognizes that, by statute, multiple filings of H-1B petitions are contemplated. See INA sec. 214(g)(7), 8 U.S.C. 1184(g)(7). Nevertheless, USCIS finds that this rule�s preclusion of duplicative H-1B filings is consistent with the statute. Section 214(g)(7) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1184(g)(7), states that �[w]here multiple petitions are approved for 1 alien, that alien shall be counted only once.�

ALLOW EVERYONE TO FILE I485 SHOULD BE OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
You people already have filed 485 and have EAD. EAD gives you so much freedom . It is as good as a green card.
What about people who are less fortunate and cannot file II485. We need to allow everyone to be on the same page first and enjoy EAD freedom.
That should be our priority before any country limits or this thread action item
Everybody waited for a fair time before they got there EAD's. None of us got the EAD on day one. So don't try to mix all the issues into one.

This is a big success for us. As a small token of appreciation, I am donation 100 dollars now.
Once we cross Aug 17, IV should seriously think of how to resolve the backlogs of I-485 and also should think of new people who need to file I-485.
I appreciate the goals of IV and I extent my continous support for IV in getting the goals achieved.

EB2 for india and China is U as of Aug 21st..maybe that's why..see my post in a seperate thread
